Gary Murphy

Gary Murphy has played dozens of roles in Chicago area film and stage productions, ranging from the inimitable Oscar Madison in The Odd Couple to the irascible Clarence Darrow in Never the Sinner. Other recent stage credits include Eddie Kurnitz in Neil Simon’s Lost in Yonkers for Artists Walk Theatre, the despicable Carl Fogerty in Bare Knuckle Productions’ History of Violence, and the equally despicable, yet lovable Detective Tupolski in Black Mamba Theatre’s inaugural production of The Pillowman. He is the former executive director of Black Elephant Theatre and currently serves on the board of directors for Artists Walk Theatre in Flossmoor, IL.
